Meet Tyrone Brown

Tyrone Brown

Tyrone Brown is an educator, school leader, mentor, and instructional coach with 20 years of experience in education. His work has included serving as a paraeducator, adult education teacher, middle and high school teacher, and assistant principal.

Working with students, teachers, coaches, and school teams showed him the value of a resource that helps educators see what professional standards look like in everyday practice. He developed CSTP in Action: From Standards to Student Impact to support focused reflection, inquiry, and evidence-based growth.

Tyrone believes the standards are most useful when educators can connect an intentional change in practice to what students experience and learn. Beyond education, he is a husband, father, and grandfather.
